Welding health and safety has been a particular focus for the HSE in 2024. Mainly due to the highly toxic nature of the fumes produced and the staticstics surrounding welding leading to poor health conditions due to the lack of control within the workplace
Really impressed with the LEV Testing engineer, we were given a lot of information not only about how to improve our system performance, but given exact distances of how far away the hood should be from the source of the welding fumes.

Welding requirements
The operator will usuaully require movement within the extraction system to get the fumes as close to the welding source as possible.
